Senior Talent Adviser - Early Careers - (12 month FTC)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Talent Adviser – Early Careers to join our internal HR professional support team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.
Team Overview
Our internal HR team of 16 are a key division of our Professional Support team. The HR team provides varied HR support to the firm across the entire employee lifecycle including talent acquisition, onboarding, talent development, retention and separation.
Role Overview
This role provides specialist advice and hands-on support across Buzzacott’s Early Careers recruitment programmes, covering school leavers, graduates and industrial placements. You will act as a trusted adviser to hiring teams, helping them define their requirements, attract and assess high-quality candidates, and make fair and effective recruitment decisions. You will coordinate recruitment activity from attraction through to onboarding, while supporting improvements to the candidate experience, recruitment systems, reporting and supplier relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for school leaver, graduate and industrial placement programmes, from planning and attraction through to assessment, offer and onboarding.
• Advise and support hiring teams to define their requirements and develop effective job descriptions, advertisements and assessment materials.
• Guide hiring teams through candidate assessment and selection, providing advice and constructive challenge to support fair and effective decisions, while maintaining clear communication and a positive, inclusive candidate experience.
• Coordinate programme-specific activity, including A-Level Results Day, trainee onboarding and industrial placement recruitment.
• Manage vacancies through the applicant tracking system, from approval and advertising through to selection and offer.
• Screen applications against academic, right to work and apprenticeship eligibility requirements, and support hiring teams to make fair and effective decisions.
• Promote Buzzacott’s Early Careers opportunities through careers fairs, networking events, the careers website and other employer-brand activity.
• Manage attraction and advertising partners, including Totaljobs, UCAS and Unifrog, and use performance insights to improve recruitment outcomes.
• Act as a trusted adviser to hiring teams and HR stakeholders, providing clear advice, constructive challenge and regular updates on priorities, progress and resourcing needs.
• Work closely with the wider HR and Learning & Development teams to deliver coordinated recruitment and onboarding activity.
• Provide recruitment insight, management information and recommendations to support workforce planning and hiring decisions.
• Oversee key recruitment administration, including the Trainee Recruitment inbox and recruitment trackers, working with the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Administrator.
• Deliver interview skills and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) training to hiring managers and interviewers.
• Ensure recruitment activity and records comply with equal opportunities requirements, GDPR, firm policies and confidentiality standards.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience of delivering Early Careers or high-volume recruitment programmes, ideally within professional services.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Intermediate MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience of using an ATS and HRIS.
