Marketing Manager
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team.

Role Overview
Buzzacott’s Marketing Managers play a pivotal role in the day-to-day marketing for fee-earning teams, managing other Marketing team members and creating and delivering marketing plans that align with and support the firm’s objectives. They have a track record of contributing to growth, commercial acumen and creativity in spades, exceptional stakeholder management skills and see opportunities, not problems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Day-to-day line management of direct reports (a mix of Marketing Executives and Marketing Assistants), supporting with their workload management and personal development, and assisting with recruitment of new team members.
- Share experience and skills, work collaboratively, and efficiently delegate work to other members of the Marketing team, encouraging all team members to try new approaches and ideas.
- Advise Partners and Team Leaders on the best approach to achieve their business and marketing objectives. Create strategic marketing and campaign plans and manage through to completion.
- Regularly undertake market research and competitor analysis to ensure knowledge of market sectors is up-to-date and relevant. Develop an in-depth understanding of key personas and segments in order to effectively target marketing.
- Provide stakeholders and team members with marketing steer and expertise in digital marketing, lead generation strategy, content marketing and data analysis.
- Collaborate with our events, operations, PR and design specialists to produce comprehensive and creative campaign plans and marketing assets that support growth and brand presence.
- Write, review and edit impactful copy for all marketing channels, ensuring it aligns with the firm’s tone of voice guidelines and helps to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure all materials and channels have brand and tone consistency. Conduct review and sign-off of marketing team members’ work in line with best practice, guidelines and templates, providing comprehensive and considered feedback to more junior roles to support their development.
- Develop strategic partnerships - identify and establish opportunities with relevant organisations and industry influencers to expand the reach and credibility of our brand.
- Make the best use of the firm’s data for marketing purposes, research new data sources and maintain a good understanding of the Data Protection Act principles.
- Supervise marketing budgets, monitor spend, provide analysis and ensure agreed budgets are adhered to.
- Deliver regular marketing performance reports to allocated fee-earning teams and the Head of Growth to demonstrate effectiveness and return on investment and recommend ongoing improvements.
Skills and Experience
- Degree (minimum 2:2), or equivalent marketing qualification.
- Experience of strategic marketing planning and budgeting.
- Experience of managing successful marketing campaigns from idea generation and conception to implementation and measurement.
- Ability to manage and develop others, flexing style and approach to suit different needs/personalities.
- Build collaborative and trusted relationships with people at all levels, internally and externally.
- Intermediate IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Planner).
- Excellent copywriting, proofreading and editing skills.
- Experience with website Content Management Systems (CMS), social media platforms, email marketing tools, and marketing analytics systems including Google Analytics 4 and Power BI.
- Experience with Adobe Express or InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premier Pro (desirable).
- Experience of working in a Professional Services firm (desirable).
- Experience of marketing to charity and not-for-profit target audiences (desirable).
- Must have a strong interest in developing others for the benefit of the whole team
