Valuations Senior Manager
We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Valuations (Corporate Finance) team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team.
The Corporate Finance department consists of three streams (Mergers & Acquisitions, Transactions Services and Valuations) with the Valuations team being the latest specialism added less than two years ago. Collectively, we focus on creating trusted and enjoyable working relationships with clients, contacts, and colleagues.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Valuations Senior Manager who will be responsible for leading on a full suite of engagements, including for tax, contentious, commercial and financial reporting purposes. There will be exposure to a wide range of clients, along with a variety of engagement types as we look to build out our offering.
The role holder will also be responsible for managing and developing junior staff, and for the right candidate, there is a clear progression path.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and perform valuations of shares, businesses, intangible assets, share options and certain other business assets.
- Planning and carrying out assignments to a high standard, taking ownership of your work and running every assignment in accordance with the firm’s and the profession’s professional and ethical standards.
- Coordination of project teams, with delegation as appropriate of roles and responsibilities.
- Briefing, supervising and reviewing the work of junior members of the team, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary.
- Liaising with clients to understand value drivers and obtain relevant information.
- Understanding and responding appropriately and proactively to client needs.
- To take the lead on, or assist with, the pitching and the preparation of proposals, including scope and fee.
- Assisting with the management of projects across the team.
- Take the lead on other business development pieces, such as preparation of research pieces for external circulation.
You are the right person for the role if you have:
- ACA/ACCA/CFA qualified (or equivalent).
- Expert capability in performing share & business valuations in a variety of contexts.
- Extensive experience of leading on the drafting of reports and proposing initial views on value.
- Knowledge and experience of share option valuations.
- Expertise in performing purchase price allocations.
- Strong Excel / modelling capabilities.
- Ability to lead in, and contribute to, client meetings.
The successful candidate will able to work on their own initiative, but also part of a team, as well as have a commercial mind-set and be able to spot opportunities and develop excellent professional relationships.
