Employee Benefits Manager
We are looking for a Manager to join our specialist Employee Benefits team, working with a wide range of clients.
An opportunity has arisen for a Manager to join our specialist employee benefits team, which is part of our wider financial planning team. This is a broad role and we are looking for someone to provide advice and support to clients who are typically small to medium sized businesses and not-for-profit organisations based in the UK with many having an overseas head office/parent companies.
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients, working to identify their needs and provide them with the best financial planning advice. You will also have the scope to identify and develop new opportunities to provide services to clients of other Buzzacott teams as well as your own external clients.
We provide workplace pension advice along with advice and administration of their group risk, medical, health, travel and voluntary benefits, and support with their employee communications.
Although we offer one-off/project services, most of the services provided to clients are offered on an ongoing basis ensuring that we get to understand our clients’ needs and build a long term mutually beneficial relationship.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Managing and building a portfolio of clients, delegating responsibility to junior staff as well as consulting the Head of Financial Planning and Partners
- Liaising with clients as necessary to further good relations, promoting the firm’s image to sell other services available
- Keeping up to date with technical developments in employee benefits
- Providing technical support to the team as required
- Giving regular and constructive feedback to team members in order to contribute to their personal and professional development
- Performing special work as and when required and as and when time is available
You are the right person for the opportunity if you have:
- Diploma in Financial Planning or other equivalent Level 4 Financial Planning
- Current valid SPS in place with CII or similar institute
- A broad knowledge of the industry and products
- Experience of managing, establishing and rebroking various types of employee benefit scheme such as; group life assurance, protection and critical illness, private medical insurance, pensions and salary sacrifice
- The ability to recognise cross-selling opportunities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
