Role overview
To be successful in this role, you will be a confident and commercially minded B2B marketer with experience delivering marketing activity within a professional services or partnership environment. You’ll have strong communication skills, sound marketing judgement, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, fee earners, and team members across the Marketing team.
You will take ownership of marketing activity for specific teams and sectors across the firm, helping to develop and deliver campaigns that support business objectives, strengthen market profile and generate measurable engagement. You will be comfortable managing multiple projects at once, translating technical subject matter into clear and compelling marketing activity, and working collaboratively with specialists across PR, events, internal communications and business development.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a capable marketer looking to step into a broader role with more ownership, stakeholder influence, and strategic input, while continuing to work closely with experienced marketing professionals.
What you will be doing
Using your initiative, being proactive, and having great attention to detail will see you succeed in this role. The key duties include:
• Lead and/or support marketing projects and campaigns for a portfolio of teams, service lines, and sectors across the firm.
• Build a strong understanding of the firm’s audiences, services, market positioning, and commercial priorities, using this knowledge to shape relevant and effective marketing activity.
• Work closely with client-facing teams to understand their objectives and advise on appropriate marketing approaches across digital, content, events, email, social media and other channels.
• Plan, execute, and manage end-to-end multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring activity is targeted, well-coordinated, and aligned to business goals.
• Translate complex or technical subject matter into clear, engaging, and audience-focused content for the firm’s website, email communications, social channels, campaigns, and marketing collateral.
• Work with Partners, Directors, and team leaders to develop messaging, content themes, and activity plans that reflect client needs and market opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues across PR, events, digital, internal communications, and business development to deliver integrated marketing activity.
• Manage and prioritise multiple marketing projects and campaigns simultaneously, liaising with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard.
• Use reporting tools, including Google Analytics and other marketing performance platforms, to review campaign performance, draw out insights, and recommend improvements.
• Carry out market, client, and competitor research to understand positioning, identify opportunities, and inform marketing activity.
• Provide guidance and support to more junior members of the Marketing team where appropriate, sharing knowledge and helping to maintain high standards across campaigns and content.
What we’re looking for
• Degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent marketing qualification.
• Experience as a B2B marketing professional within a professional services environment.
• Experience of marketing planning, campaign development, implementation, and performance measurement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn technical information into clear, compelling messaging.
• Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills across digital and offline channels.
• Experience of working with senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships with Partners, Directors, or equivalent senior audiences.
• Project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience of working across a range of marketing channels, including website content, email marketing, social media, events, and thought leadership.
• Ability to use insight, data, and reporting to assess performance and recommend improvements.
• Experience of working with budgets and tracking marketing spend.
• Experience of Adobe Suite i.e. Express, InDesign, Illustrator, is desirable.
• Experience of LinkedIn advertising, Google Ads, or other paid digital activity is desirable.
• Experience of working with Financial Services, asset management, insurance, fintech, banking, or other regulated/professional audiences is desirable but not essential.
• Intermediate IT skills: MS Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience using website CMS, email systems, social media platforms, and Google Analytics.
What you’ll bring
• Able to use your own initiative and prioritise workload effectively.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
• Confident communicator who can influence, challenge appropriately, and adapt style for different audiences.
• Commercially aware, with the ability to connect marketing activity to business objectives.
• Demonstrates curiosity and a growth mindset, proactively staying informed of emerging marketing trends, industry developments, evolving client behaviour and new technologies, and applying relevant insights to improve marketing effectiveness.
• Approachable, flexible, assertive and proactive.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Comfortable managing competing priorities and working at pace.
• Displays ethical judgement and understands the importance of confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance in marketing activity.
