Transaction Services Assistant Manager/Executive
We are seeking a Transaction Services Executive/Assistant Manager to join our Corporate Finance (TS) team.
Team Overview
The Corporate Finance team is made up of a dynamic and supportive group of individuals who are driven by building relationships with clients, not purely completing transactions. The team focus on creating trusted and enjoyable working relationships with both clients and contacts. Established in 2015, Buzzacott’s Corporate Finance team has now grown to be a team of c.20 making it one of the fastest growing teams in Buzzacott.
The Transaction Services (‘TS’) team works with corporate, private equity and banking clients on their acquisitions, investments, and financing. This position is ideally suited for someone with TS experience who wants to accelerate their career by developing themselves whilst assisting with growing the team.
Role Overview
You will be a part of a lead advisory orientated team, with a focus on transactions in the £5m to £100m space as well as a valuations team. The team are all encouraged to leverage off each other’s specialisms and learn and grow together.
What You’ll Be Doing
Assist the Partner and Directors of the team with delivery of buy-side advisory services and the preparation of financial due diligence reports. Plan and deliver Transaction Services assignments to the scope and standard agreed with the Partner/Director, ensuring they are kept informed of progress throughout.
Manage your time and costs effectively to remain within budget, and notify the Partner and/or Director promptly if the agreed time allocation is at risk of being exceeded
Understand the specification and commerciality of the assignment agreed with the client and report immediately to the Partner/Director if this specification may need to be changed, and any potential additional services/fees are identified.
Discuss findings and issues with the client, as well as providing solutions.
Understand and respond appropriately to clients needs.
Be willing and able to network and build strong relationships, generating leads for the team and cross‑selling Corporate Finance services to other Partners and Managers across the firm.
Preparation and delivery of financial due diligence reports.
Preparing insightful financial and commercial analysis and clearly communicating issues.
Advising clients on their acquisitions and investments, including SPA reviews, completion mechanisms and price adjustments.
Co-ordinating and overseeing the input from specialist teams across the firm. Consolidate reports into clear, concise key findings
Assist with pitching and the preparation of proposals, including scope and fee.
Organise and run every assignment in accordance with the firm’s standards, as well as professional and ethical standards ensuring effective completion before Manager or Partner review.
What you’ll bring
Degree educated (or equivalent)
ACA qualification (or equivalent)
Working knowledge of Transactions Services in an Accounting Firm or Corporate Finance Boutique
Experience with financial due diligence assignments
Experience working with Excel models
Ability to contribute to client meetings and proactively look for opportunities to advise clients
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Networking and results orientated; ability to recognise cross-selling opportunities
Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team
Enthusiastic; reliable; discreet; composed; multi-tasker; determined; proactive; approachable; able to develop sound professional relationships
