A great opportunity has arisen for someone who would like to advance their career within Financial Planning. We are looking for a Manager and a Senior Manager depending on experience. For both roles, the focus will be working with and advising private clients. 

You will manage and enhance your portfolio of clients, working to identify their needs and providing them with the best financial planning advice. You will also have the scope to identify and develop new opportunities to provide financial planning services to clients of other Buzzacott teams as well as your own external clients. 

This roles are based within our Financial Planning team, made up of 15 people, including 3 Partners. They work closely with, and give financial planning advice to both private clients and organisations who have assets all over the world. This trusted team aim to seek the best solutions for their high net-worth clients' wealth accumulation and wealth preservation throughout key stages of their lives. 

Key aspects of the role include:

• Managing and building up a portfolio of clients, delegating responsibility to junior staff as well as consulting the Head of Financial Planning and Partners.
• Sourcing clients to discuss their financial needs and priorities. This includes all forms of prospecting, including regular obtaining of referrals.
• Gathering sufficient information on client requirements to be able to analyse and recommend solutions in a clear style, emphasising the benefits
• Maintaining regular contact with clients to ensure their needs are met and reviewed on a regular basis
• Proactively developing new client relationships from existing clients, Buzzacott teams, business contacts and other appropriate sources
• Keeping up to date with technical developments in financial planning 
• To have or be prepared to undertake certification under SM&CR as defined by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and to achieve or maintain this status or equivalent as required in future in order to be able to provide independent financial advice
• Assisting with the development of less experienced staff and carrying out performance reviews and other management related activities as and when required by the Head of BFP and Partners

You are the right person for the opportunity if you have:

• Relevant degree or equivalent
• Diploma in Financial Planning or other equivalent Level 4 Financial Planning qualification - at least part-completion (i.e. minimum of 2 Advanced Diploma exams)
• Strong track record of dealing with high-net-worth individuals
• The ability to contribute to client meetings, a broad knowledge of industry and products and keep abreast of legislative changes
• Knowledge of IFA back-office systems as well as fund rating/research systems, including Financial Express, Morningstar, MS Office Suite and Exweb
• Ability to recognise cross-selling opportunities and are happy to deliver tenders and/or new work presentations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
